England versus Hungary at Wembley in November 1953 was dubbed ‘The Match of the Century’. The ‘Mighty Magyars’ ran out 6-3 winners in a game that many saw to signal the confirmation that football’s ‘mother country’, England, was not at the top of the world roundball order and Olympic champions Hungary were.
