My guest is Llew Walker from Corinthian-Casuals FC, who has a new biography out on the life of Andrew Watson, the world’s first black international footballer. Watson captained Scotland to an historic 6-1 win over England at the Oval in London, and also won the Scottish Cup three times with Queen’s Park.

We discuss his footballing career, his impact on the game and even how he inadvertently influenced the creation of the premier English amateur side of the late 19th century, Corinthian FC.

You can get hold of Andrew Watson: A Straggling Life here.

Disclaimer: I also have a book out with the same publisher in April 2021, which you can read about here.
