Interesting stuff. Thanks for that; shame there was no Calabria info; would love to get down there sometime.
I think it would be better if you divided Italian podcasts into the 3 regions: North, South but also Central Italy as it is too vast to just say North and South. Central Italy would consist of Florence (Fiorentina) down to Rome /Lazio and could include those central regions of Tuscany, lower part of Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria and top part of Abruzzo. Not too many top name teams, granted, but lots of B & C teams around.
Hi Richard – thanks for listening and feeding back. Yes, we’re planning to do one on the central belt (roughly Genoa-Pescara), taking in the Genoa clubs, Fiorentina, Bologna and other smaller clubs (Empoli, Pisa, Perugia) – some of these clubs are already covered in standalone posts on the site: https://outsidewrite.co.uk/category/italy/
Likewise, I want to get down to Calabria and also do a separate one on the ‘island teams’ in Sicily and Sardinia.
