Podcast: Football in Chile

Please share:
Chilean fans take over the Maracanã stadium at the 2014 World Cup group stage victory over Spain

My guest is Adam Brandon, who has spent more than a decade examining Chile’s football scene. We look at the domestic set-up, the groundhopping and Barra scene. We also learn about football during the Pinochet dictatorship and the recent success of the Chilean national side.

If you’re interested in Latin American football, be sure to check out our recent podcasts on groundhopping in South America, Paraguayan football, Uruguayan football and the rich Buenos Aires scene. Also, check out our podcast on football under the South American dictators (1960s-80s)

We release a new podcast every Monday, so be sure to subscribe on your preferred podcast platform. We’re on AppleSpotifyStitcherPlayer.FM and Anchor. Look for us in Google Podcasts too. We’d really appreciate a rating or view if you like what we’re doing as it helps others discover our podcast.
