There is a reason nostalgia is so appealing in football, as apparently we look most fondly upon our younger years aged 15-30, psychologists argue. Personally, my love of football shirts has been long-standing and predates shirts from my birth. For me there must be both an aesthetic and a standout moment for a shirt to be truly legendary, although I am also just as happy to extol the wonderful numbering on Newells Old Boys’ early ‘90s Adidas shirt, as worn by Mauricio Pochettino…
…Anyway, for those of us not able to afford to bid hundreds of pounds, euros or dollars on eBay for authentic retro shirts, here are some wonderful football shirt accounts to follow on Instagram to get our daily fill:
