Podcast: The World’s First International – 150 Years On

Please share:
Hampden Bowls Club – ‘First Hampden’, Glasgow, which hosted early international football

30 November 2022 marks the 150th anniversary of the very first official international Association rules football match. Scotland hosted England at the West of Scotland Cricket Ground on St. Andrew’s day 1872.

My guest is Graeme Brown from the Hampden Collection. Graeme discusses the story of the first international and its legacy, plus outlines how the 150th anniversary is being marked around Glasgow.
