We’re joined by football writer Aidan Williams to discuss the impact and legacy of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini (1922-43) on the game in Italy. We look at how the regime used the sport to unify the country, create national competitions and propel Italy on the global stage.

We’ll discuss how the regime led to the establishment of new clubs, including AS Roma and AC Fiorentina, and attempted to undo the English influence on Italian football.
