Podcast: Reflections on Italia ’90

Please share:
Italia ’90 was an iconic World Cup – and the last for West Germany and USSR.

We reflect on the iconic Italia ’90 World Cup with Simon Hart, author of World in Motion, The Inside Story of Italia ’90, the Tournament that Changed Football.

Hart spoke to more than 100 players, coaches and others who participated in that tournament, including World Cup-winning captain, Lothar Matthaus, Italian top scorer Totò Schillaci and Cameroon veteran, Roger Milla.

In this podcast, Hart shares some of the key moments from that tournament, how it came at a crossroads of world history, and some of his favourite anecdotes while researching the book.
