Podcast: Parma Calcio / The Chapecoense Story

Please share:

We’ve got a double-header this week.

First up, we look back at the incredible golden decade of success for Parma Calcio with Conor Clancy from Forza Italian Football. Fans of Serie A in the 1990s would be forgiven for thinking that Parma had always been a massive club, when in fact all its success was crammed into a single glittering decade.

We look at the fall and rise of the club since its last major silverware in 2002.

In the second half, we speak to Steven Bell, whose book From Triumph to Tragedy: The Chapecoense Story looks at the meteoric rise of the Brazilian club and tragic crash en route to the Copa Sudamericana final in 2016.

We release a new podcast every Monday, so be sure to subscribe on your preferred podcast platform. We’re on Apple, Spotify, Stitcher, Player.FM and Anchor. Look for us in Google Podcasts too. We’d really appreciate a rating or view if you like what we’re doing as it helps others discover our podcast.
