My guest is Kevin E. Simpson, author of Soccer Under the Swastika: Stories of Survival and Resistance During the Holocaust. He tells us of the football experience in Nazi-occupied Europe during World War II.

We discuss the experience of coaches and players, POWs from the Spanish Civil War, and the notorious ‘Death Match‘ in Ukraine.

This isn’t an easy listen, but an important one.

We release a new podcast every Monday, so be sure to subscribe on your preferred podcast platform. We’re on AppleSpotifyStitcherPlayer.FM and Anchor. Look for us in Google Podcasts too. We’d really appreciate a rating or view if you like what we’re doing as it helps others discover our podcast.
