Our guest is Jamie Ralph, who blogs about Argentine football club Newell’s Old Boys in English at Newell’s Carajo. We discuss ‘El Clásico Rosarino, the intense derby between Newell’s and Rosario Central.

We also discuss both clubs’ histories along with some of the best players to represent either side, such as Leo Messi’s incredible record in Newell’s youth set-up, to Gabriel Batistuta and Mauricio Pochettino. At Rosario Central, we look at Mario Kempes, Daniel Killer and others.

We also discuss Marcelo Bielsa’s time at Newell’s.
